Summary
ePortfolios, also known as Electronic Portfolios or Digital Portfolios, have been defined as the “mirror, the map and the sonnet of a student’s life” (Diez cited in Gibson & Barrett, 2002). In addition to being used within a variety of disciplines such as management, nursing, architecture, engineering, medicine, teacher research and pre-service education, they are also being used to document institutional accountability and support human resource management and lifelong learning (IMS, 2005; Jafari, 2004). Come out to learn more about ePortfolios and to discuss ideas about how you might employ them in your Blackboard course.
