Summary

This session is co-sponsored by the Learning Technology Team and the University of Toronto Mississauga Library.

Enrollment has doubled, absenteeism is unheard of, students are awake, engaged and having a great time. Dr. Shafique Virani says "God bless clickers -- they've done wonders for my classes." Along the way he has changed his pedagogy to help maximize the benefits of the clickers in ways that the inventors probably never dreamed of. Originally designed primarily for the sciences, with a few innovative ideas, these nifty little gadgets can do wonders for courses of all types. As one of his students put it, "This class is like a Socratic dialogue, Oprah and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire combined!"
