Privacy & Security Session 1

Do you take pictures and share them online? Ever sign up for a cool app on your cell phone? Know the risks associated with sharing your data and be better prepared to protect yourself from the worst-case scenarios (e.g. academic account hijacking, even identity theft). This session will show ways in which you can maintain some control over what personal information about you is shared.

Introduction to LibrarySearch Session 1

The University of Toronto Libraries is introducing a new search system called LibrarySearch. Join us to learn how to discover books, e-books, journal articles, and more for your research, teaching, and learning. Participants will learn how to navigate the new search interface including how to use new features to access full text, to create citations, and to save your searches, and how to use advanced searching features like Boolean operators.

Bloomberg Intermediate

This workshop is designed for students who have completed the Bloomberg Basics workshop or for students with some experience using Bloomberg. This workshop will feature some of the advanced functionality in Bloomberg, including Bloomberg Intelligence.

Library 101: FLC Tools Workshop: Bloomberg Basics

This workshop will introduce students to the Bloomberg terminal. Students will learn how to access Bloomberg terminals in the Li Koon Chun Finance Learning Centre; create a Bloomberg account; navigate and search the terminal to find company information, including company financials, as well as analyst reports and business news. Students will also learn about how to get certified with Bloomberg Market Concepts.
