Introduction to the UTM Library and UTL Services for Graduate Students

As a Graduate Student, you will very likely be presenting a research poster at least once in your academic career. Attend our session on creating research posters and learn about the dos and don’ts of poster creation, and what makes an effective poster for an academic audience.

Attendees will also be guided through the process of cleaning up data once it’s downloaded.

NVivo is a powerful qualitative data analysis application allowing a user to code and analyze text documents. The University of Toronto recently negotiated a tri-campus license for NVivo software allowing for free access to UofT faculty, Staff, and Students. This session will provide a basic, hands-on introduction to the application. (Faculty and Staff are welcome to attend as well).

Is copyright permission needed for using images on Quercus, webpages or blogs? What are the best resources to save time and obtain the images you need? This session introduces tools, resources and answer those questions.
