This workshop will introduce students to FactSet. Students will learn how to access FactSet and search the database to find company information, including company financials and filings, as well as to perform relative valuation using the Comps tool. Students will also learn about how to complete the FactSet certifications

Bloomberg Basics

This workshop will introduce students to the Bloomberg terminal. Students will learn how to access Bloomberg terminals remotely; create a Bloomberg account; navigate and search the terminal to find company information, including company financials, and business news. Students will also learn about how to get certified with Bloomberg Market Concepts.

Welcome to UTM Library! We are here to help you! This session will provide an overview of the Library and introduce you to resources and databases that will help you in your coursework and beyond. 

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  • Discover books, journal articles, and more using LibrarySearch, the library’s catalogue, and using subscription databases
  • Understand key features of the UTM Library website including Starting Points, Course Reserves, past exams, and more
  • Connect with specialized services within the library, including reference and research services, information and loans services, data and GIS services, instructional technology, special collections and more

Length: 60-minutes

Location: UTM Library, Level 1 Smart Classrooms (computer lab)
