Surveys (Graded and Ungraded)

Instructors can gather feedback from students about the course or other topics using Graded or Ungraded Surveys.

  • Graded Survey: A graded survey allows the instructor to give students points for completing the survey, but it does not allow the survey to be graded for right or wrong answers. Graded surveys have the option to be anonymous.
  • Ungraded Surveys: An ungraded survey allows you to get opinions or other information from your students, but students do not receive a grade for their responses. Ungraded surveys can be anonymous.  Note:  The ungraded survey will not be displayed in the Gradebook.

Note: In order to make a graded or ungraded survey anonymous, you will need to check the box next to "Keep Submissions Anonymous". As an instructor, you can moderate a quiz (e.g., unlock a quiz, provide extensions, etc.).

To download an Excel spreadsheet of the results, follow the steps below.

  1. Go to Quizzes and click on the name of the quiz.
  2. Click on Survey Statistics on the right-hand side of the survey page.
  3. Click on the Student Analysis  button and select Save File , then click on the OK  button.

A copy of the Survey file will be downloaded to your computer.
