Remote Access to FLC Software

Looking to access software offered by the FLC? We offer three ways to access our software remotely:

• Download: Some FLC software can be downloaded for free to your personal computer.
   
• Citrix Cloud’s Virtualized Applications: Some FLC software can be accessed using UTM’s I&ITS cloud-hosted platform, Citrix Cloud.  The Virtualized Applications option offers unrestricted access to the software.
   
• Citrix Cloud’s Secure Remote Desktop:  All FLC software with the exception of Bloomberg can be accessed remotely on FLC’s workstations. The Secure Remote Desktop option is being used to reserve FLC software for specific classes or courses - this will restrict access for general use to times outside of those bookings.  Please consult the FLC calendar to view current bookings and use this option outside of those times.

IMPORTANT: I&ITS is recommending that, where possible, faculty and students download software required for teaching and learning onto their own personal device to mitigate the load on campus servers and to increase performance and stability.  

The ‘Download’ option should be your first choice whenever possible.  Please use the Virtualized Applications and Secure Remote Desktop only if a Download option for the software you need does not exist.
