iClickers
iClickers are an institutionally supported classroom response system. They operate using radio frequency in the 900 MHz range and there is no interference with other devices that rely on Wi-Fi. They can operate in large lecture halls with a range of 200 - 300 feet and can be used to support student responses in courses of all sizes.
We are currently investigating iClicker Cloud software and Quercus, which would allow students to respond to instructor questions using their mobile devices.
Top Hat is another classroom response system that is subscription-based and can be used at U of T.
